Committee Tasks/Notes

Committee Chair (Joe Schrader)

  • Work on Rechartering Plan for the Pack

Advancement Chair (Alisha Fitzgerald) - becoming vacant as of 3/2008

  • Contact the OA team and reserve the ceremonies team for the crossing over ceremony
  • Clear the 3/18 Crossing over date with Principal Adams - Montgomery CoC Auditorium?
  • Come up with a formalized Pack Program that rewards the proper wearing of the Cub Scout Uniform to Pack Events

Membership/Re-registration (Vacant)

  • Meeting with New Families and go over the parent guide in son's handbook and bobcat requirements
  • Develop a Welcome letter/Packet for the New incoming Families which emphasizes the basics - mail out and have it the profile carried into next Den Meeting

Outings Chair (Chad Custer)

  • Familiarize with Tour Permits
  • Put together a list of good picnic areas and provide to Den Leaders
  • Work with Webelos with their camping plans
  • Plan outings to help pack and dens qualify for the National Summertime Pack Award
  • Know and carry out BSA outdoor program policy related to Cub Scouting.
  • Review all activities to ensure that unit leaders comply with BSA policies in the Guide to Safe Scouting.
  • (NEW) Plan two outings
    • Fall Day Trip - Target Date option 11/11
    • Spring Overnight Camping - Target Date option 4/5-4/6

Pack Trainer (Vacant)

Public Relations (Dawn Schrader)

  • Find a graphic designer to design (for free hopefully) Pack T-Shirts and Kindergartner Scouts T-Shirts.
  • October Newsletter

Secretary (Arba Smith)

Treasurer (Dave Otto)

  • Get a single check made out to the Council so it can be submitted with the applications - $10 per boy.  The goal is to have our registration completed by 9/18.
  • Present financial report at 9/13 Leader's Meeting
  • Work with Advancement Chair to get enough money into the Pack Account at the Scout Shop for the purchase of awards, neckerchiefs, slides and books.
  • Help us decide how we should fund the Raingutter Regatta Boats.
