Tiger Essentials/Tips
- Establish a Shared Leadership schedule
- Schedule Go-See-It activities
- Elect an Assistant Den Leader
- Schedule out the year of activities in advance
- Work on Bobcat, first thing.
- Try to complete all required activities by 3/1.
It is important to push hard in September and October,
because in Novemeber you are contending with Thanksgiving
and in December, the kids are off from School a week
because of Christmas vacation. January is a short
month because of New Years.
- Cub Scout Day Camp is a a 4-day event, held the first
week of June (typically) for the East Mountain Camp, that
runs Tuesday through Friday. Cub Scout Day Camp is
the only place where a Cub Scout can earn the Archery Belt
Loop/Pin and the BB-Gun Belt Loop/Pin. There is a
requirement that there be one adult present at camp per
every 4 boys. Many parents who can't afford 4 days
off from work trade back and forth on the days.
- Take Photos of your Den Events and send copies to the
Pack Historian, weekly.
- Take attendance for each Scouting function and submit
to the Pack Secretary, weekly.
- At each Pack Meeting, your Tigers will be giving the
opportunity to share with the Pack the the things he has
been working since the last Pack Meeting.
