Pack 137 Popcorn Sales
Details
Who:
All Cubscouts of Pack 137 (with the assitance of
Parents).
Parents, do NOT sell the popcorn
for your Cubscout as this will circumvent
the benefits stated above. Your role is to be a coach
and a source of encouragement. The younger scouts
will need more assistance than the older scouts. Try
to help hone your Cubscout's presentation - you will
be amazed at how much they will improve in just a few
presentations with your coaching and encouragement.
What:
Popcorn is universally loved by most of the population,
so its sale is pretty easy to do. The product ranges
from unpoppled kernals to specialty, gourmet flavors.
Target Sales per boy:
$300 - this is easily done in a few short hours.
Most people love the Scouting program and want to try and
help.
Please have checks made out to "Pack 137, BSA"
When:
Sales order forms are due on Tuesday, October 7th.
Where:
Sell in your neighborhood.
Why:
There are many benefits - the procedes help the pack to
function and your Cubscout learns many valuable skills (see
the benefits
page).
Why are we raising funds?
The $60 registration fees/dues pays for the bare minimum
operation of the pack. However, there are expenses
that come along that are outside the scope of normal pack
activities. The needs vary from year-to-year, but in
the recent past, we've purchased equipment such as a new
pine-wood derby track.
