Arrow of Light - April 24, 2007
The Arrow of Light is the highest award that a Cub Scout can earn - and the only Cub Scout emblem that can be worn on a Boy Scout uniform. The Arrow of Light shows that the Scout has completed the necessary tasks to become a Boy Scout.
A group of Boy Scouts known as the "Order of the Arrow" come to cross the Cub Scouts into Boy Scouting. This is an incredible ceremony.

Pack Meeting - February 27, 2007
The Blue & Gold Celebration included a history of Scouting for the anniversary of Scouting.
Our Cubmaster taught everyone about famous Scouts and a representative from the Council came
and spoke as well. Keeping with the monthly theme of "Aloha!", some of the menu items featured
pineapple. The Bears also did a skit with Hawaiian music.


Pack Meeting and Pinewood Derby - February 6, 2007
This was a great meeting with awards and the big Pinewood Derby. After the official weigh-in
everyone gathered around and awaited the results...





The Space Derby - October 24, 2006
After spending many weeks making our Space Derby vehicles, it was time for the big race! Little did we
know how many times we were to spin the propellers and how many rubber bands to use!

Webelos II Overnight Camping @ Villanueva - October 6, 2006
The Webelos II trekked up to Villanueva State Park on the Pecos River for an overnight campout. After
setting up camp, the Webelos played in the Pecos river, found a garter snake [named "Peco"], went on
a hike, made a fire and cooked dinner, and cleaned up. After a rousing few hours of Flashlight Tag, there
were Smores and laughing until everyone finally went to bed. Morning came and we struck camp and let
little Peco loose. This is what Scouting is supposed to be!

Making spaceships for the First Space Derby - October 3, 2006
The Tiger Cubs start working on their Space Derby spaceships. It helped to actually READ the instructions as we have to glue the two parts together BEFORE sanding...

The 1st "Real" Pack Meeting - September 26, 2006
The first regularly scheduled Pack Meeting opens with the Webelos I presenting the colors, the Tiger Cubs doing their first skit on why Tigers have stripes (they don't look good in polka-dots) and received their kerchiefs, the Bears picked their favorite animals, and everyone started to learn how "Announcements" are a horrible way to die...

Tiger Cubs - Rio Grande Nature Center - September 24, 2006
The Tiger Cubs visited the Rio Grande Nature Center State Park and identified different creatures: insects, reptiles, birds and more!

The Tiger Cubs made magnetic picture frames and put these photos in them!

Webelos II Cooking on Fire - September 15, 2006
The Webelos II took advantage of the warm nights to plan and build a fire in a fire pit, make a dinner menu,
cook it, eat it and properly clean up afterwards!
The scouts learned about fire safety, menu planning and how hot a fire can be.
The menu consisted of hot dogs, beans, corn on the cob, chips and drinks. The night was finished off with
some freshly made Smores!

Pack 137 First Pack Meeting - September 5, 2006
Nothing starts the year off like - A MEETING! The first pack meeting and the first chance the Scouts get to meet
everyone else and the parents get to see what our Pack is all about!
